Nonprofit Eases College Financial Burden for Children of America’s Injured Service Members

DULLES, Va. – Aug. 21, 2013 – Freedom Alliance, who has awarded over six million dollars in scholarships, continues to support our nation’s military dependents. The nonprofit organization honors Americans in our armed forces who have sacrificed life or limb defending our country by providing educational benefits to their children. U.S Army Soldier, Carlos Escobar, was medically retired after serving in Iraq in 2005. Now suffering from a combination of post-traumatic stress disorder and other service-related injuries, Sgt. The Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund honors members of our Armed Forces who have sacrificed life or limb defending our country. The fund provides educational opportunities for the sons and daughters of these heroes. The Project 300 Initiative started in January of 2013 with the objective of having 300 students on scholarship by the end of the year. Please help us honor our heroes by sharing with friends and family and through social media outlets the mission statement and image below. The mission of the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund is two-fold. First, it helps offset the high cost of a college education for the sons and daughters of American heroes. In his Letter to the Editor, Chris opines on doctor pay as a student in the medical field. We’re very proud of Chris and his many accomplishments.
