The Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund was the vision of Freedom Alliance founders LtCol Oliver North, USMC (Ret.) and the late LtGen Edward Bronars, USMC. It exists to honor the bravery and sacrifice of U.S. military personnel who have been killed or permanently disabled in an operational mission or training exercise.

The mission of the Scholarship Fund is two-fold. First, and most importantly, it is a reminder to the recipient that their parents’ service and sacrifice will never be forgotten by a grateful nation. Second, it helps offset the high cost of college education for the sons and daughters of America’s Military Heroes. The Freedom Alliance Scholarship is not solely restricted to tuition. It can be used wherever the student and their school see fit, including: tuition, fees, books or room and board.Hannity and North

In 2003, radio and television personality Sean Hannity hosted his first annual Freedom Concert to support the Fund. Hannity's support, and that of his listeners, has helped Freedom Alliance raise millions for the Scholarship Fund which will be used to provide scholarships for years to come.

The 2008-2009 Academic year application can be completed online. Stud20ents interested in applying should click on the Application Process tab above for further details. In addition to the Scholarship Fund, Freedom Alliance operates a number of other programs such as "Support Our Troops" and the "Military Leadership Academy."
